Pacer Kemar Roach will miss West Indies’ upcoming tour of England due to an injury. Cricket West Indies has named Jeremiah Louis as his replacement.
Cricket West Indies stated that Roach had suffered a ‘knee injury’ during the ongoing County Championship which has forced him to miss the three Tests. Roach had signed up with Surrey for the season and had featured in six matches so far for the team.
“Kemar’s skill and experience in English conditions will be missed however this opportunity has been long in the making for Jeremiah Louis, he certainly has the skill and experience to make an impact in England,” Desmon Haynes, the lead selector was quoted as saying in a media statement.
The uncapped 28-year old Louis comes in with a First Class experience of 57 matches spanning over ten years for St Kitts and Nevis.
